SUNDAY JUNE 9TH Day of Pentecost – Whit Sunday

A warm welcome to visitors who join us today.

INTENTION

God has given us his Holy Spirit, that we might be called his children. Let us worship our Heavenly Father in spirit and in truth.

THE COLLECT

God, who as at this time taught the hearts of your faithful people
by sending to them the light of your Holy Spirit:
grant us by the same Spirit to have a right judgement in all things
and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort;
through the merits of Christ Jesus our Saviour,
who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.  Amen.

POST-COMMUNION PRAYER

Faithful God, who fulfilled the promises of Easter
by sending us your Holy Spirit
and opening to every race and nation the way of life eternal:
open our lips by your Spirit,
that every tongue may tell of your glory;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

ST PETERTIDE ORDINATION OF FIONA GIORLA

Fiona Giorla our Ordinand in training will be ordained Deacon on Friday 28th June at the Ordination of Deacons Service which takes place in Truro Cathedral at 7.30 pm.

The Ordination Service always attracts a large congregation as friends, families and well-wishers support the new Deacons from across the Truro diocese as they begin the process that will lead them to becoming priests.

We are sure Fiona will absolutely delighted to see members of the congregations from across the Benefice and friends at this service.

We wish Fiona well in her future ministry with us here in Padstow and the Benefice.

**Alan Veck is organising a bus if anyone wishes to travel to Truro for Fiona’s Ordination.  There is a signup sheet at the back of all the Benefice churches or contact Alan on 01841 521029 for more information**
